GRÜM is the collaboration of four artist personalities who, inspired by their passionate enthusiasm for experimental forms of music, have come together as a quartet. Jacek Chmiel (electronics, zither), Lara Süß(voice, sampler), Thomas Rohrer (rabeca, saxophone), and Christian Moser (cümbüş, electronics) embark on a creative research journey, always striving to unite the unusual sonic worlds of their instruments in versatile musical combinations and ultimately transform them into an original and innovative whole. With simplicity and unpretentiousness, they follow an uncompromising consistency in their collaborative creative process, immersing themselves devotedly in detailed tonal and sonic facets, and opening up spaces for individual and collective sound explorations. The instrumental and vocal dialogue is complex and multilayered, yet the diverse playful possibilities and abilities of the musicians create a variable and transparent music that encourages and challenges the full attention of the listeners.
